Rocco's First Communion

I was invited by my roommate Enrico to go to his little brother's First Communion. I already posted some pictures a while back but here are some more.  Enrico's family is one of the nicest families that I have ever met.  I am really lucky to have been welcomed into a family like this. We spent the morning at a church service that lasted over 2 hours with standing room only and we finished off the day at a beautiful restaurant up in the hills of Le Marche, in a town close to Carassai.  Italians celebrate communions like they would a wedding. Lots of food, lots to drink and of course surrounded by good friends and family.

Sono stata invitata alla prima comunione di Rocco, il fratello di Enrico.  Ho gia messo alcune foto della festa ma qui ci sono di più.  La famiglia di Enrico è una delle famiglie più belle che abbia mai visto.  Sono forunata a conoscerla. Abbiamo passato la mattina dentro la chiesa dove c'era una messa che è durata due ore e mezza, con quasi tutti i posti in piedi e abbiamo fato pranzo in un agriturismo vicino a Carassai.  Gli italiani celebrano la prima comunione come un matrimonio.  Con molto cibo, molto da bere e con amici e famiglia.
