Baci da Bologna: Italian Fieldtrip

Today I went on a field trip with the first graders to Giardini Margarita. They have been learning how to plan events and they planned a trip to the park and were responsible for planning games and bringing snacks and looking at the bus schedule. The International School is a really interesting place to work. There are so many different languages and cultures flying all around. Its mostly Italian but some of the kids don't know Italian while others are learning English as their fourth language. Let's just say that I am a little jealous. They kept asking me if I was going to be back next year and when I told them I wasn't they were so upset. I am really going to miss them when school ends.

Oggi sono andata ad una gita con la prima elementare ai Giardini Margarita. I bambini stanno imparando come organizzare un'evento. Dovevano organizare i giochi, le marende, e l'orario del autobus. La scuola internazionale è un posto molto interessante dove lavorare. Ci sono tante lingue e culture diverse. Sopratutto parlano italiano ma alcuni non sanno italiano mentre altri stanno imparando la lingua inglese come la quarta lingua. Sono gelosa. Loro mi hanno chiesto se ritornerò l'anno prossimo e quando ho detto no, sono diventati tristi. Mi mancheranno molto quando finirà la scuola.
