Napoli and Sant'Agnello

A few weeks ago I went on a trip to Southern Italy.  It was beautiful.  We made our first stop in Naples but we only stayed long enough to try an authentic pizza and then we left.  Naples was probably the craziest city I have ever been to.  Stop lights and crosswalks mean nothing to the cars and Vespas that speed through the streets.  I also saw more people on one Vespa then I thought was possible: 4 grown adults all without helmets. I thought my roommates were joking when they told me that the south was like this. Anyways, we made it out of Naples alive and spent a few days in Sant'Agnello where our hostel was.  One in the hostel because it rained all day and then next laying out in the sun and swimming in the salt water on the black sand beach.

Alcune settimane fa sono andata al sud d'Italia.  È stato bellissimo.  La prima fermata è stata Napoli ma ci siamo fermate là solo per mangiare una pizza e poi siamo scappate.  Napoli è la citta più pazza che abbia mai visto.  I semafori e gli attraversamenti pedonali non erano per niente rispettati; le macchine e le Vespe andavano sempre di fretta senza preoccupazioni. Ho anche visto più persone su una Vespa che io credevo possibile: quattro adulti, tutti senza caschi. Pensavo che i miei coinquillini avessero scherzato quando mi hanno detto che il sud era così. Comunque, siamo state riuscite a partire da Napoli vive e sane, e poi abbiamo passato qualche giorno nel nostro ostello a Sant'Agnello. Il primo giorno l'abbiamo passato tutto nella stanza perché ha piovuto tutto il giorno, ma gli altri giorni gli abbiamo passati prendendo sole sulla spiaggia di sabbia nera, rilassandoci, e nuotando.
