Our flowers grew!

I had a few unfinished posts and that last post about Halloween got me wanting to finish them.  So here goes.  Remember when Fabio, Enrico, Maried and I decided to clean off our balcony and plant flowers?  They grew!  We had basil, peperoncini, and beautiful flowers.  I left before I got a chance to try the peperoncini but I hope they were good!

Avevo alcuno post che non ho finito e l'ultimo postche ho scritto mi ha fatto desiderare a finire! Vi ricordate quando Enrico, Fabio, Maried ed io abbiamo deciso di pulire e piantare i fiori? Sono cresciuti! Abbiamo basilico, peperoncini, e fiori gialli.  Mi sono partita prima di provare i peperoncini ma spero che erano buoni!

Curran Visited!

Curran came to visit me and these were the only pictures I took while he was here.  If you can't tell by these pictures, we had a blast.  It felt really good to be in Italy with him because he helped me survive my first trip to Italy when we studied abroad together in Torino two years earlier.  I still don't know how we survived, but I bet it had to do with the fact that I am extremely street smart and calm in all situations. 

Il mio amico Curran è venuto a visitarmi a Bologna.  Ho fatto solo queste due foto, ma abbiamo passato un bel tempo.  È stato benissimo di essere con lui in Italia perché Curran ha studiato con me a Torino due anni primi.  Non so ancora come siamo sopravvissuti quelli 6 mesi a Torino perché non abbiamo parlato italiano per niente.  Ma chi sa!

Halloween!

I know its been FOREVER since I have updated this, but it kinda feels weird to write when I am in America and everything is so familiar to me.  Don't get me wrong, I went through quite the reverse culture shock and cried everyday for close to a month (and I wonder why my mom is trying to get me to move out of her house?).  But anyways, my roommates in Italy miss me writing so I figured I would fill them in on a little American culture.  Starting with, Halloween.  They don't have a holiday like this in Italy.  The closest that they get to it is Carnevale.  I wont go into too much detail in English since you all basically know that this holiday is an excuse for adults to dress inappropriately and drink heavily all about children dressing up in cute costumes.  I didn't dress up but I made Petey dress up as a Chippendales dancer.  I hope you like my pumpkin!

È stato un bel tempo che non ho scritto niente.  E forse non so come scrivere più in italiano ma vediamo.  Il 31 di ottobre è un giorno si chiama Halloween!  Sopratutto e per i bimbi di vestire in costume e girano delle case per ricevere i dolci.  Non so chi ha inventato questo holiday.  Tipicamente, per la gente più grande come i studenti dell'università, è una festa per ubriacarsi troppo e vestire come le prostitute o i pazzi.  Si vede qui.  È come Carnivale a Monte Fiore, ma con meno vestiti.  Questo Halloween non mi sono vestita come niente e non sono uscita perché Halloween è stato a domenica.  Petey si è vestito come un maggiordomo.  Ho intagliato le zucche con Baby Kelly e mia mamma.  Baby Kelly ha deciso di tagliare le dita anche.  Che cretina!
